Vocal Training - Level 3.1
1-Relaxation and postural placement. Spend a few minutes relaxing your muscles and gradually learn to be aware of your body. A good placement will improve our emission and your well-being in general. Check the links and choose a different one every day, keeping the most suitable for you for the future. Time: Between 3 and 10 minutes.
2- Guided breathing _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_and continue. This is a very good exercise that will make you work your respiratory muscles while relaxing your neck y_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ the shoulders. You will feel how your back and abdominal core begin to reposition themselves. The exercise is scheduled in 8 fast beats, the air will enter through the mouth, straw-style, and will come out in 8 equal beats, blowing. As the exercise progresses, your respiratory capacity will increase, so you will have to expand your air intakes and outlets more forcefully, filling and emptying yourself completely.
3- Heating of the Buccal and Nasal resonators. Begin by activating vocal resonance with a well-resonated Mmmm sound. Repeat the exercise with a nasal sound with Nnnnn . Work on intercalated breathing. Note the difference in your mouth and nasal area, working on awareness in these areas.
4- Exercise of * Super-resistance 1 . Diaphragm Activation. Perform this exercise once a day and your delivery and support will improve dramatically. We combine vocal output with blown attack + Shhhh. At the same time we will mark the air outlet with our hand tapping .
Melodic sequence: ha-ha-ha-ha--he-he-he-he--hi-hi--ho-ho--hu- hu-huuuuu.
shhhh---shhhh---shhhh--shhhh--sh-sh--sh-sh--sh-sh--shhhh.
5- Note jumps. Interval of a perfect 5th in Staccato . A perfect 5th jump means that we will sing a distance of exactly 3 and a half steps starting from C3 up to G3 and going up by semitones. Do not start the exercise until you feel comfortable in your position.
We will make the jump in staccato (trying not to make glissandos) and keeping the notes stable. Vowel forms starting with A, E ,I ,O ,U.
Note: Repeat the exercise again with each vowel.
6- Pentatonic scale. Melismas or Turns. With this exercise we will work the Pentatonic scale, or Blues scale with all the vowels. We will try to play, as we have done in the previous exercises, creating different resonances and colors with the voice. For the most advanced, you can work on vocal effects, such as Cry, airy voice, Twang, Falsetto, Belting, etc. Above all, have fun.
7- Change of Records 2 . Starting from a descending 8th, we will make a change of register in glissando , with a blown attack (Recurso del Ha). We will slowly work the melody like this: HuuuUU-aaaaaAA- HuuuiIII-iiiiaaaaaAA - haaa-aaa- ha- ha - ha-ha - hiiii-iiiiaaaaaAA.. . It is important how we are doing the descent. We must ensure that the sound is not disconnected.
8- Projection and vocal strength. The Belting + Vibrato controlled. The attack with the consonant Nnn will help us support the sound in the nasal part where it will be more comfortable for us to place ourselves when projecting naturally with a well-opened and resonated AAAA. We will maintain a long note, with enough pressure for a beat and without stopping the emission we will work a controlled vibrato of 1 tone of variation, working from the base of the tongue, and applying the Ha resource . Remember to open by relaxing the jaw from its base. Melodic sequence: Na , naraa, na, N aaa aaaa aaaa aa aa aa - Ha AaAa- Ha AaAa- Haauu
9- Vocal Suspension + Tuning - Physical Voice Technique . One of the main basic resources that we have to learn to control is vocal stabilization and its firm prolongation over time . For this I have prepared an effective exercise where we will use our arm and hand to help us stabilize and project the sound. The hand will be placed open with a light blow while the arm descends from bottom to top. (PVT) First we will say the numbers from 1 to 5 and then we will continue with explosive consonants such as T, D, P. We will start with an E3 and then you can work with the different tunings always keeping the voice in the chest register.
10- Percussive melody and rhythm - Projection and vocal strength (Physical Voice Technique). When singing, it is very important to internalize the rhythm with total confidence. All our notes will be supported by the percussive rhythm, as if they were steps. So for this exercise we will begin working on the rhythm by tapping our feet in steps of 1,2,1,2... Working on the melody with the consonants T, P, K, B, etc.
